If you want to buy SaaS niche edits in 2026, published rates run from about $25 on a self-serve marketplace to $375 to $440 a link at vendors that specialize in tech and B2B publications. For a software company the price matters less than where the link lands: an insertion inside a live article about your category, on a site read by people who buy software, is worth several links on a general blog. So the first question for any vendor is whether you can see that article before you pay.

We run a publisher network of our own and sell placements on B2B and technology portals, so we are one of the options below. Every price here was read on the vendor's own site in September 2026 unless we say otherwise, and where another vendor suits a SaaS team better than we do, the table says so.

Why SaaS links are a different purchase

A US SaaS company buying links is rarely trying to rank its homepage. The pages that make money are the pricing page, the feature pages, the integration pages and the "X alternative" and "X vs Y" comparison pages, because those are what a buyer reads with a card in hand. Those pages compete against G2, Capterra, review listicles and the competitor's own site, and they tend to win on topical authority more than on raw Domain Rating.

That changes what a good link looks like. A link from a post about accounts payable workflows helps an AP automation product. A link from a "50 productivity hacks" roundup on a lifestyle blog does almost nothing, whatever its DR. Software is also an unrestricted vertical, so no honest vendor should charge a category surcharge. BuzzStream's August 2026 study of 421,259 link-selling sites put the average technology placement at $168, close to the all-industry insertion average of $179. If a quote is far above that, you should be getting a named, relevant, high-traffic host for the difference.

How much do SaaS niche edits cost?

SaaS niche edits cost about $60 to $440 per link from vendors that publish a per-link rate, based on rate cards we read in September 2026, with open marketplaces starting near $25. The technology vertical averages $168 per placement in BuzzStream's 2026 data. Above $300, you should be paying for a named, relevant tech publication with real traffic, not a DR number.

For a working budget, an early-stage SaaS company pushing one or two money pages usually buys three to five relevant links a month, which comes to roughly $500 to $1,000 in placements. A Series A or B company competing for category terms against G2 and the incumbents often runs eight to fifteen a month and adds digital PR on top. Our own per-placement rates by tier are on niche edit pricing.

Which SaaS pages should niche edits point to?

Point most SaaS niche edits at the pages that convert: comparison and alternative pages, integration pages and feature pages, with a smaller share to the homepage and pricing page to keep the anchor mix natural. Blog posts rarely need bought links, because they earn links on their own when they are good, and they do not convert when they rank.

The alternative and comparison pages deserve special care, because a buyer reading one will check your facts against the competitor's site. If you are building a set of them, it pays to keep an eye on rival pricing and feature changes with a competitor monitoring tool, so a link you paid for is not sending readers to a table that went stale last quarter.

Are niche edits or guest posts better for SaaS?

For most SaaS link building, niche edits are the better first buy. The host article is already indexed, often already ranks for something related to your category, and usually costs less than a new guest post. Guest posts are the better choice when you have an actual story, such as original data, a launch or an expert piece, because a new article can carry more context and a branded mention. The trade-offs are laid out on niche edits and, for insertions into specific existing pages, on our link insertion service.

What should a SaaS company check before buying niche edits?

Run these checks on any host a vendor offers, and be wary of vendors that will not show you the host at all.

  1. Category fit, at the article level. The article your link goes into should be about the problem your product solves. A relevant tech site with an off-topic article is a weak placement.
  2. Traffic to the article, not only the domain. Check that the page itself ranks for something. Link shops concentrate their traffic on the homepage.
  3. Who reads it. If your buyers are US finance teams or developers, a host read mostly outside the US does little for your rankings on google.com.
  4. The outbound link ratio. A site linking out more than about four times as often as it is linked to is usually selling a slot on every post.
  5. The anchor you are asked to accept. Exact-match "best X software" anchors on every link are a footprint. Mix branded, URL and partial-match anchors.
  6. Disclosure. Paid placements should carry a sponsored disclosure and, per Google's guidelines, a rel="sponsored" or equivalent attribute where the host applies one. A vendor promising paid links will be indistinguishable from earned ones is describing a risk, not a feature.

Which SaaS link vendor fits which buyer

A funded SaaS company that wants DR 70+ tech media and has the budget for it should shortlist Editorial.Link or LinkPanda and ask for sample hosts in its category before signing. The per-link price is higher, and in return the ceiling is higher too.

A team with an in-house SEO who has time to vet can get the lowest cost on a self-serve marketplace like INSERT.LINK, as long as it runs the checks above on every site, because the marketplace does not do that work for you. Tier sellers like FATJOE and Rhino Rank suit teams that want a predictable price per link and are comfortable letting the vendor pick the host within a band.

An early-stage or mid-market SaaS team that wants a handful of relevant links a month, on hosts it can name before paying, is our buyer. On SaaS link building you can see how we place links on the B2B and technology portals we own. Pick a portal, read the host article and its traffic, and order a single placement to test the fit. If you are an agency buying for several software clients, our comparison of niche edit vendors for agencies covers wholesale tiers and white-label reporting. Plans and per-placement rates are on pricing.
